Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your ExceliaBOT account and the data it holds, whether you use the web dashboard or the mobile app. It applies the rules of our Privacy Policy.

1. How to ask

1. Write to [email protected] from the e-mail address of the account's owner, with the subject “Delete my account” and the business name as it appears in the dashboard. You can also send the same request to your account manager from the dashboard (Account manager).
2. We reply within two working days to confirm the request — from the owner's address, so nobody else can close your account.
3. On confirmation the account is closed: sign-in is disabled for every team member, the assistant stops answering, campaigns stop, and the connected WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram channels are disconnected.

2. What is deleted

A closed account is first archived, so that a request sent by mistake can still be reversed, and then permanently deleted at the latest 90 days after closure. The deletion covers everything the account held:

• Conversations and messages with your customers, including the photos we stored;
• Leads captured by the assistant and their statuses;
• Campaigns, recipient lists, templates and reports;
• Store orders, products and follow-up flows;
• Your instructions to the assistant, your settings and your uploaded files;
• Team members and their sign-in details;
• Browser and mobile notification tokens.

Sign-in records expire on their own after 90 days. Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law require, and no longer. Messages already delivered to your customers' phones stay on their phones — they are WhatsApp messages like any other.

3. Deleting part of your data instead

You do not need to close the account to remove individual records: leads, campaigns, recipient lists, templates, products and follow-ups can be deleted from the dashboard at any time, and you can disconnect a channel from Connections. A customer of yours who wants their conversation removed can ask you, and you can ask us to delete that thread alone.

4. The mobile app

The ExceliaBOT app for Android shows the same account as the web dashboard. Signing out of the app removes the copy of your chats kept on the phone and stops notifications to that phone; deleting the account (section 1) removes the data on our servers. Uninstalling the app alone does neither.
